LARGS GOLF club was the destination for Port Bannatyne Golf Club’s annual Ryder Cup day out at the weekend.
Teams of 13, representing Europe and USA respectively, battled it out for bragging rights across the pond in North Ayrshire.
USA came out on top with a fine four points to three win after a number of commanding performances.
There was also a singles stableford running and skill prizes on the course, including: longest drive, – Donald Standaloft; nearest to the pin at the eighth, – Graham Bolton; nearest to the pin at the 14th, – David Greer; booby prize, – Kevin Sayers.
Overall stableford results:1, – Scott Dunn (46); 2, – Roddie Leitch (37 BIH); 3, – Colin Muir (37); 4, – Donald Standaloft (35); 5, – Matthew Dunn (35).
