Crew members for a short film shot on Bute have thanked Brandanes for their ‘enthusiasm, help and support’ during their time on the island.
Director Tommy Clarke, lead producer Ricky Lindsay and producer Mark Stothert spent some time in the likes of Port Bannatyne filming ‘The List’ and were taken aback by the love they received.
A statement on behalf of the film-makers said: “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks on behalf of the production team, crew and cast to the Isle of Bute community for all your enthusiasm, help and support for our film project, working title ‘The List’.
“So many of you welcomed us with open arms with an overwhelming positive attitude to our film.
“It was such a pleasure and an honour to have lived and worked among you for the days we were prepping and filming on the Island.”
They continued: “It goes without saying that you live in an extremely beautiful place but the sense of community and generosity that you embody is the real beauty of Bute in our eyes.”
On locals’ help and hospitality, they added: “Your contributions are by no means small, as supporting actors, location & logistics support, accommodation, catering and many other areas were invaluable to us.
“We can confidently say that it would not have been possible to achieve everything we have without you.
“We would like to reserve a special thanks to the people of Port Bannatyne where the bulk of our filming took place, you’re community spirit is intoxicating and you really made us feel at home.
“We’ll proudly carry a little piece of Port Bannatyne with us, especially wearing our Anchor Inn t-shirts.
“Having worked on many productions across our team, we know how rare and lucky it is to have found you all. We can’t wait to return in the very near future to screen the finished film and properly celebrate the fruits of our joint labour. “Until then, keep our seats warm at the Anchor.”
