MEMBERS OF Cowal Golf Club have voted overwhelmingly in favour of an ambitious project to restore the golf course to a full 18 holes .
The decision, made at a meeting on October 2, has been met with widespread excitement among members and the local community.
The project is seen by those within as the most significant step the club can take to secure its long-term future and transform it into a valuable community asset.
The plan aims to elevate the club’s status, making it a premier destination for golfers across Argyll and Bute.
Club captain, Chris Carson, said: “Work on the first phase of the project is set to begin in winter 2025.
“The club is confident that this development will increase its appeal and ensure it remains a vital local hub for generations to come. “We know there is a lot of hard work ahead, but we are excited and motivated to deliver this project which we hope will enable our historic club to evolve into a true community asset.”
