COLINTRAIVE Carpet Bowling Club hosted a successful and well-attended Open Fours Tournament, with players competing for the Tam Macdonald Shield in what proved to be a memorable evening.
Five teams took part in a round-robin format, with the overall winners determined by the highest points total across the night.
Top honours went to the Strathlachlan/Colintraive team of Louisa Black, Joe Campbell, Robin MacNair, and Alastair Fraser, who secured victory after winning all of their matches.
Runners-up were the Innellan/Colintraive team, made up of Alex MacNaughton, Anne MacPhail, Colin Steedman, and Donny MacPhail, following a strong showing throughout the competition.
Organiser Curly Black was thanked for overseeing the event, with players and supporters also acknowledged for their contributions, including the donation of raffle prizes. Appreciation was also extended to those who provided refreshments on the night.
Following the competition, prizes were presented to winners, runners-up, and semi-finalists, with Easter eggs handed out as part of the long-standing tradition.
While organisers noted it was the final Open Tournament on the Cowal Carpet Bowling circuit for the season, they confirmed the club will return in October.
