PORT BANNATYNE Golf Club enjoyed its biggest turnout of the season last Sunday as 52 golfers took to the course for the ever-popular Whitelaw Memorial Trophy.
Competitors played two 12-hole rounds in what has become one of the club’s flagship events. More than 100 people gathered throughout the day, filling the clubhouse and spilling out into the club’s new beer garden to enjoy food, refreshments and the fantastic atmosphere.
This year marked the 28th staging of the event, and the club extended its heartfelt thanks to Maggie, Hector, Jim and Joyce, along with all the Whitelaw family, for their continued support in making the day such a special occasion.
The club also wished to thank John and Donald for collating the scores, Graham Dunn for all his hard work in preparing the course, and, as always, Roddie, Hazel and Jean for keeping everyone well looked after in the bar and kitchen.
