COLGLEN were unable to recover from a difficult first-half as they went down 3-2 away to bitter rivals Kyles Athletic on Saturday.
A slow start allowed the home side to take control of the match, with Kyles establishing a commanding 3-0 lead by half-time.
ColGlen produced a much-improved performance after the break and gave themselves hope with two goals from Scott MacVicar and Andrew MacVicar.
The visitors continued to press in search of an equaliser during the closing stages, but Kyles managed the game well and held on to secure a 3-2 victory.
Despite the defeat, Auryn Kerr was named ColGlen’s man of the match for his performance.
