KYLES OF BUTE Golf Club’s team match against Rothesay was cancelled on Sunday due to the course conditions and weather.
However, five golfers still took to the course to take part in the club’s sweep.
Only three players managed to complete the full 18 holes, with Lindsay Towers coming out on top with an excellent gross score of 72.
It proved to be a particularly successful day for Towers, who also played in the Symington Cup final against 2025 winner Eddie Wright.
Towers secured the victory, winning the tie 4&3.
Congratulations also go to Niall Macfarlane, who was the third member to complete all 18 holes.
Niall has arguably enjoyed more success with his work on the computer than on the golf course this year, however, and will be hoping to put that right in the remaining competitions of the season.
Next Sunday sees the final trophy competition of the year, the Paul Morley, with all gentlemen members and visitors welcome to take part.
A prizegiving and Texas Scramble has also been arranged for Saturday, October 24.
