BID voted in on Bute

A Business Development District group will be established on the Isle of Bute following a successful ballot.

Of the businesses allowed to vote in the ballot, 115 voted in favour of introducing BID, while 73 voted against.

188 votes were received in total.

Of the businesses eligible to vote, 79 per cent did so.

This means that non-domestic rate payers will now be required to start paying a levy.
