The Bute Junior Agricultural Club (BJAC) marked a significant milestone last week with the spectacular return of their third annual Variety Concert.

Chicks, Clicks, and Sticks was an unmissable highlight on the young farmers’ calendar, showcasing a range of talents from singing and dancing to comedy and spoken word.

Chloe Robertson, chair of BJAC, reflected on the immense effort that went into bringing such a vibrant show to life: “The concert is a huge event on our young farmers calendar and takes a huge amount of time, commitment and effort from all involved.

“It is an amazing opportunity for all members.”

This year’s concert featured 11 diverse acts, each one brimming with talent.

From vocal performances to lively dances, touching speeches, and plenty of humour, the variety was part of what made the night so special.

The members of BJAC, known for their enthusiasm and creativity, left no stone unturned in delivering a show that was both entertaining and full of surprises.

Rehearsals for the concert began in late September, and with each passing week, the performers honed their acts.

The practice sessions took place at the 292 Clubhouse, with members also using the local school stage every second Monday, allowing them to get a feel for the real performance environment.

Chloe added: “As the chairwoman this year, I can’t express how proud I am of each and every member who got up on the stage and gave it their all.”

The success of this year’s concert is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the BJAC members, who continue to build on their tradition of excellence.

For those lucky enough to attend, Chicks, Clicks, and Sticks was an unforgettable night that perfectly captured the spirit and talent of the island’s young farmers.

BJAC’s variety concert continues to be an important event for the island community, providing a platform for local youth to express themselves and entertain their friends, family, and neighbours.
