Cowal F.C. continues to make waves in the Clyde League with a commanding performance at the weekend.
The team, who welcomes players of all backgrounds, including ladies, trans, and non-binary players aged 16+, showcased impressive teamwork and skill in two outstanding victories on Sunday, March 30, at Maryhill.
The first match of the day saw Cowal F.C. dominate from the outset, securing a 7-0 victory over Glasgow Tigers.
The team took some time to find their rhythm, but once they did, they were unstoppable.
Claire was the standout performer, scoring four of Cowal’s seven goals. Jamie added a brace, while Steph chipped in with a single goal.

The second match of the day saw a similar pattern, with Cowal F.C. emerging victorious with a 7-2 scoreline against Glasgow Stripes.
Once again, Claire was a key contributor, netting four goals.
Jamie continued their impressive form, scoring three to complete their own personal hat-trick and take their tally for the season to nine.
One of the most heart-warming moments of the day was the return of Julka, who made her comeback after having their first baby earlier this year.
Despite being unlucky not to find the net, Julka’s performance was impressive, and she made a massive contribution in both games.
Defensively, Cowal F.C.’s backline was solid throughout the day, with Cat, Fay, and Ramona all turning in standout performances to keep the opposition at bay.
In midfield, captain, Steph, led by example, with great support on the wings from Ayleigh, Jamie, and Julka.
And of course, Claire’s attacking prowess left opponents struggling to cope.
With these victories, Cowal F.C. remains firmly in the hunt for top honours.
They are currently in second place, just one point behind the league leaders, with two games in hand.
Cowal F.C. trains every Wednesday at 6pm and Sundays at pm on the astroturf pitches at Black Park.
