DGS to hold second annual Christmas concert

DUNOON Grammar School is set to bring festive cheer to the local community with its second annual Christmas concert next week. Following the success of last year’s event, the school is excited to once again showcase the talents of its students and spread festive joy.

The concert, scheduled for Monday night, promises a delightful mix of performances, with students across various year groups coming together to celebrate Christmas through music, song, and possibly a surprise or two. Last year the school’s performing arts department coordinated the concert and was a triumph and organisers are hoping to build on that success.

Head teacher David Mitchell expressed his enthusiasm for the event, saying: “We can’t wait to welcome you to our Christmas concert on Monday evening. Our young people have been practising hard and are looking forward to entertaining you. Dunoon Grammar School is full of talent, so you are in for a real treat.”

Its hoped the Christmas concert can become an annual tradition and a highlight of the school’s calendar of events as it offers an opportunity for students to shine and come together in the spirit of the season.

Tickets are expected to sell quickly and can be purchased at the school office and cost £3 for an adult and £1 for a child, the concert starts at 7pm on Monday, December 16 and runs to 9pm.
