Island Lodge installation meeting

Lodge Rothesay St. John, No. 292 held their annual installation meeting last Saturday, where a large attendance of members and visitors alike from far and wide were welcomed into the Lodge by past master Craig Baxter, who took the chair for the first part of the meeting.

A large deputation was received from the provincial grand lodge of Argyll and the Isles, headed by John D. Stewart, provincial grand master.

Mark J. Girvan was re-installed into the chair of his Mother Lodge for a second term of office by past masters S. Ellis N. Rutherford and James S. McMillan, together with the Lodge office-bearers for the coming year.

At the close of the meeting an excellent buffet was served and the customary loyal and masonic toasts observed.

On Sunday morning, members of the Lodge attended morning service at the Isle of Bute Parish Church to mark the start of the new session.

The service was conducted by the Minister Rev. Sibyl Tchaikovsky.
