Winter conditions may have settled in, but the golfing action at Rothesay Golf Club continues to heat up.

The first weekend kicked off with a thrilling round in the West Coast Motors Singles, where Jimmy Reid made his mark.

Despite keeping the news to himself, Jimmy shot an impressive career-best 42, finishing with a blistering 36 on the second nine.

His excellent performance, which left fellow competitor John Duncan trailing by just one point, was only discovered after the event via social media, as Jimmy quietly slipped under the radar.

The weekend action continued with the Johnny Zan Kreyser Taxis Doubles on Sunday, where the familiar pairing of Allan Smith Jr. and Craig McFarlane delivered a dominant 42-point performance, potentially setting the bar for the winter season.

In second place, the new duo of Jimmy Ewing and Stephen McDonald posted a solid 39 points, showing promise for future weeks.
