AS CHRISTMAS Day looms and the countdown continues this newspaper can exclusively reveal that once again Santa will be visiting Dunoon for a special sleigh tour.
Just like the year before Santa is preparing to travel through Dunoon and the surrounding areas on his sleigh next week.
In 2023, Santa raised nearly £700, which was donated to Dunoon Community Council to help improve the West Bay play park. This year, Santa’s fundraising efforts will benefit Cowal Hospice and CHATS (Cowal Hospice and Therapy Services). Organisers are aiming for a target of £500, and donations can already be made through a JustGiving page, accessible below via a QR code.
Santa will be spreading joy and festive cheer to all who see him and
the big man, whose special sleigh is being towed by a decorative Land Rover, will be passing through the local area on the following dates:
December 18: Tighnabruaich
December 19: Kilmun, Strone, Ardentinny, and Loch Eck to Benmore
December 20: Bruan Innellan
December 21: Sandbank
December 22: Kirn and Hunters Quay
December 23: Dunoon
To find out how and when you can catch a glimpse of Santa before Christmas you can visit his official Cowal tour Facebook page called ‘Dunoon’s Santa Sleigh’. A statement from the page reads: “We shall be driving our wonderful sleigh around the local community on the week leading up to Christmas. We hope to see you out and about if your able to do so.”
