A second person has died following Tuesday’s horrific crash on the A815 in Sandbank.
The second fatality is a 90-year-old woman who was the passenger of the silver Toyota Yaris involved in the incident on Tuesday (June 14).
The woman, along with the female driver of the car were taken to hospital as a “precaution”following the crash however, it is understood she succumbed to her injuries in hospital yesterday (Friday, June 17).
The incident happened around 3.55pm on Tuesday (June 14) and involved silver Toyota Yaris, a cyclist and a pedestrian.
The cyclist, named locally as Colm Docherty tragically died at the scene. While the pedestrian was transferred to hospital was what was described as “serious injuries”.
Sergeant Hugh Niccolls of Dumbarton Road Policing Unit said : “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the woman who died yesterday evening (Friday, 17 June, 2022) in hospital.
“Our investigations are continuing and anyone who witnessed the crash, should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2204 of 14 June.”
