Tighnabruaich Players getting ready for pantomime
The cast in rehearsal

Tighnabruaich Players began rehearsals (and scenery building) for their production of Robin Hood in October.

A spokesperson for the company said: “ I don’t want to spoil the impact of the stunning costumes, so here is a photograph of some of the principals on the set of Robin’s Forest Hideout.”

They continued: “We do evening performances on Friday and Saturday, December 6 and 7. On the Friday, we also do a Matinee that is mostly for our local primary school. We have a few of their pupils in our cast, and the other 72 pupils will walk across to watch the performance.

“This is often a child’s introduction to theatre, so we make sure that they get the “full” experience. They all get their own ticket, and a special edition of the programme.

“We have room for a few adults who are brave enough to come to a matinee. It is a memorable experience for everybody.

“Of course, the evening audiences are not nearly as calm and well behaved…”

Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, written by Alan P Frayn will be staged at Tighnabruaich’s Kames Hall.
