KYLES Athletic’s junior side booked their place in the semi-finals of the Highland Industrial Supplies Sutherland Cup with a convincing 6-2 victory over Kingussie at home on Saturday.
The hosts made an excellent start to the quarter-final, with Duncan Kerr opening the scoring after nine minutes before Toby Thain doubled the advantage a minute later.
David Zavaroni added a third in the 18th minute to put Kyles firmly in control, although Kingussie pulled a goal back before the interval to leave the home side 3-1 ahead at half-time.
The visitors reduced the deficit further with a penalty shortly after the restart, but Kyles responded in emphatic fashion.
Duncan Kerr completed his hat-trick with his third goal of the afternoon before Ethan Kerr and Olly MacVicar also found the net to wrap up an impressive 6-2 victory.
Kyles will now face Kinlochshiel in the semi-final on Saturday, August 8.
