A NEW digital noticeboard aimed at keeping residents and visitors up to date with events and activities has been unveiled in the heart of Dunoon.
Dunoon Presents, the towns Business Improvement District (BID), has installed the new information board outside the Queens Hall on Argyll Street.
Standing 2.2 metres tall, the digital display is intended to become a permanent piece of town-centre infrastructure, providing information about events taking place in Dunoon and the surrounding area.
The project was developed partly in response to feedback from local businesses during consultation ahead of Dunoon Presents current 2023-2028 BID term.
Unlike a traditional noticeboard, information displayed on the screen can be managed and updated remotely through an internet connection.
Dunoon Presents manager Colin Moulson said delivering the facility had been an important objective for the organisation during its current term.
He said: We believe in the fullness of time the facility will help inform both locals and visitors about event activity in the town and surrounds.
It is quite simply a noticeboard, albeit in digital format, and is controlled remotely via an internet link.
The new board is now in place outside the Queens Hall and went live this week.
