A NEW comedy night will be hoping to raise plenty of laughs when it makes its debut in Sandbank this weekend.
The Oakbank Inn will host its first Funny… you should say that! comedy open mic night on Saturday, September 19, with six budding comedians taking to the stage.
Flying the flag for Cowal will be Dunoon’s Drew Pearson and Arun Uttamchandani from Innellan.
They will be joined by four acts making the trip across the Clyde – Billy Bremner, Scott McCormack, Alex Semple and Graham McGregor.
The comedy is expected to get under way between 8pm and 8.30pm, with entry free.
There will also be an element of competition, with the audience invited to vote for their favourite performer at the end of the night.
The winning comedian will walk away with a £50 prize.
Organisers hope the new comedy nights will prove a hit and become a regular fixture in the Oakbank Inn’s calendar.
