ARDENTINNY Bowling Club rounded off its season in style with its annual presentation dinner on Friday, October 16, as members gathered to celebrate the club’s competition winners.
The evening, held at The Ardentinny, brought members together to recognise achievements on the green throughout the season and thank those who have supported the club.
Gordon Smith took the top honour of Club Champion, while John Brint claimed the Gents’ Singles title and Brenda Higgs was crowned Ladies’ Singles champion.
There was further success for John Brint, who teamed up with Elsbeth Brint to win the Mixed Pairs competition, while John Adamson and Dougie Menzies secured the Gents’ Pairs title.
Menzies also enjoyed a successful season in the club’s sweep competitions, winning both the Monday Sweep and the Wednesday and Friday Sweep.
John Martin and Donald Towie lifted the President’s Shield, while Martin partnered club champion Gordon Smith to claim the English Trophy.
Smith added another title to his collection alongside Jimmy Gordon in the Gibson Bowl, while Robbie Lawrence took home the Dishes Trophy.
The club thanked Allegra and Seb at The Ardentinny for providing an excellent meal and hosting the celebrations.
Special thanks were also extended to Derek Logue and Frank Glover for their work maintaining the bowling green throughout the season.
The club also acknowledged the continued support of its sponsors, Western Ferries, The Ardentinny, Ross MacArthur, The Blairmore, The Cot House Services and Lydia and Dave Moodie.
Above all, the club thanked its members for their contribution to another successful season, recognising the collective effort that keeps Ardentinny Bowling Club thriving.
