Locals more likely to see a ghost or UFO than win the Lottery, according to new research
IF THERE’S a ghost in your house, you probably live in Argyll and Bute.
And don’t think you can escape by nipping away to the Highlands, because people there see lots of supernatural things too.
Argyll and Bute is number one in the hit parade of hobgoblins and happenings in the sky and all around us.
The research comes from an organisation called the Spin Genie.
Their investigation, based on a series of community- based sources, suggest Argyll and Bute reported 77.9 supernatural sightings per 50,000 people.
The Spin Genie team says wile they have still to have reports of crop circles, there have been three different UFO encounters over the years.

The wildest report claims “a star-like object” was spotted in the sky over Rothesay in 2021.
The researchers say it was described as “a small light with a halo moving at speed high in the sky”.
Highland is in fifth place in the table with the rest of the slots shared between England with one in Wales.
There is often a downside in league tables such as this.
The spooky reality according to the researchers is people living in Argyll and Bute are more likely to have a supernatural experience than win the Lottery.
Their figures suggest more sightings than winnings to the tune of almost 71,000 times
