BLAIRMORE & STRONE Golf Club members have enjoyed a busy month of competitive golf as favourable weather created excellent playing conditions on the course.
The club has continued to host its popular Texas Scramble competitions on Sundays, alongside Saturday morning cup competitions, with the highlight of the month being the Club Championship, played over two weekends.
Russell Clark claimed the Club Championship title after producing an impressive gross score of 169 over 36 holes. Neil Munroe finished runner-up with a gross 179.
Members also competed in the Ferguson’s Preservatives June Medal, where Eileen Dargo produced an outstanding net score of 57 to take victory. Neil Munroe finished second with a net 67.
The second round of the Rosebowl also took place during the month, with Raymond Gorman winning the round after returning a net 68. Combined with his first-round score of 65, Gorman secured the overall Rosebowl title with a 36-hole net total of 133. Neil Munroe was again runner-up with a combined net score of 140.
Away from the course, the club’s June 200 Club draw was won by Katie Houston, who received the £90 prize before generously donating her winnings back to the club.
Club members thanked Katie for her gesture of support as another successful month of golf came to a close at Blairmore & Strone Golf Club.
