Bulls travelled up to Parklea Playing fields to play Port Glasgow B.C. in the league after a successful outing three weeks prior in the League Cup.
Before the match started the league requested that everyone to hold a minute’s silence after tragically hearing about the passing of one of the young players affiliated to the league, to which the Bulls wished to express their heartfelt condolences to those impacted.
As the match started, Port Glasgow were certainly out to try and rectify the result from their last match by testing Sam early on, but the Bulls settled into the match and were creating more and more chances as the half went on.
Midway though the first period the Bulls took the lead as Oscar crossed in a corner, only for it to come off one of their defenders and end up in the net.
The Bulls had several great chances to make it two as their efforts tested the keeper, but didn’t find the net.
Bulls made a few changes at the interval, but it was Port Glasgow threatening early on through their striker, who was always looking to get in behind the defence with his pace.
but it only took ten minutes into the second half for Oscar to get onto the scoresheet firing in the Bulls’ second goal with a superb shot.
Again, the bulls kept the pressure on and Oscar had another few chances to increase the lead.
Jay then controlled the ball well on the edge of the box and smashed in the Bulls third with another great strike.
Port Glasgow managed to pull one back before Angus had a great chance to score after trying to get onto a through pass, however it was just out of reach.
Late on, Oscar got in again and had his shot saved well and Harris was quickest to react, following in for a tidy finish with his left foot after controlling the ball in the air.
A spokesperson for the club said: “The players of the match were Robin and Clay, however it could have been given to any of them as they were all fantastic today and stuck to their individual jobs.”
