Around 11.40pm on September 19, an 18-year-old woman was issued with an recorded police warning for an assault near Argyll Street.

Road Safety

A number of road traffic offences have been detected in the past week, namely for not having an MOT and Careless Driving.

To continue ensuring road safety, road policing units will be increasing their presence in the area with targeted patrols. These efforts aim to promote responsible driving habits and identify potential hazards. If you plan to get behind the wheel, please make sure your vehicle is roadworthy, with all necessary tests and documentation up to date.

BUTE

Reports/Custody

Around 10.05pm on September 15, a 38-year-old man was arrested and held custody for a serious assault near Russel Street.

Around 6.45pm on September 18, a 30-year-old man was arrested and held custody for assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and acting in a threatening and abusive manner near Glecknabae Beach.

Around 2.05pm on September 20, a 35-year-old woman was issued with a recorded police warning for being in possession of a Class A drug namely Diamorphine near Russel Street.

Police are appealing for information after a motor vehicle collided with another and failed to stop and report the matter on Gowanfield Road, Rothesay between Saturday, August 8 and Friday, August 14. Please contact PC Morrell L0488 with any information.
