A familiar and respected face in emergency care across Cowal and Bute has retired after an outstanding 35 years of service.
Catherine Rae, a paramedic based at Rothesay Ambulance Station, has officially stepped down following a long and dedicated career serving communities in both Dunoon and Bute.
Over more than three decades, Catherine has been at the front line of countless emergencies, providing care, reassurance and professionalism to patients and families in some of their most difficult moments.
Her work saw her cover a wide and often challenging area, supporting both urban and rural communities and becoming a well-known and trusted figure across the region.
Her contribution over 35 years leaves a strong legacy within the service and among those she helped throughout her career.
