ButeLGBTQ+ sets first post- Pride meeting for Saturday

ButeLGBTQ+ will hold its first committee meeting since Pride 2025 tomorrow at 2pm in the Green Tree Room, Moat Centre/Library building, Stuart Street.

The meeting is open to everyone and agenda items include feedback on this year’s Pride (including results from the online survey), a review of committee roles to spread workload more evenly, and proposed updates to the group’s Constitution.

Members will also consider joining a new ButeLGBTQ+ WhatsApp Community, which would offer open access and a range of opt-in sub-groups. The group has a vacancy for an interim Chair to serve until the AGM in March. Anyone interested is invited to email Shona (secretary) at butelgbt@ gmail.com. Saturday’s meeting will be

hosted by Alan, the group’s founder. Plans for fundraising applications and the possibility of organising Pride 2026 are also on the table. All are welcome to attend, contribute ideas, and help shape the next steps for ButeLGBTQ+.
