LAST Thursday, June 18, Colintraive Bowling Club held its Anniversary Day Open game to celebrate 32 years since its inception.
Players were drawn in balloted triples with each team playing three games in a round robin contest over six ends.
With a shower of rain halfway through it was decided to have afternoon tea early, which allowed players to interact and enjoy a free bar as well as home baked goods.
At close of play one team had won all 3 games, 6pts plus 18 shots — this was Alex, Julie and David (latter 2 from Ardbeg BC) with runners up Louisa, Neil + Kenny (2 men again from Ardbeg BC) with 4pts + 25 shots.
Before prizes handed out there was also a free Raffle, which went down well.
Alex thanked everyone for a good friendly and competitive day, especially Ardbeg members who stepped in at last minute to make the day worthwhile, as well as home bakers and raffle donators.
