Council accused of ‘gravy train’ while services cut

Editor – Councillors and executives are morally bankrupt and they want to make citizens bankrupt too, (money in this case). They constantly cut

services while being paid lavish salaries and get big wage rises. This results in constant council tax rises.

They keep their gravy train going, they are not

prepared to make any cuts in their salary or wage rises. Why don’t they remove all services to citizens, but even then the council tax rises would probably

continue. This is the road we are on. Council tax up, salaries up and services down, until they disappear. Disgusting.
