At 3.30pm December 10 on Castlehill Street, Rothesay, a 24-year-old woman was arrested for threatening and abusive behaviour, having made threats towards other members of the public. A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
At 3.20am December 14 a 19-year-old woman was arrested on Argyll Street, Dunoon, in relation to an assault. The person was issued with a recorded police warning for her involvement in the incident.
Road Safety
A total of nine traffic offences were detected within the Cowal and Bute area, including careless driving, speeding, failing to report an accident, driving with no insurance, driving outwith conditions of licence, driving an unregistered vehicle on a public footpath, failing to wear a crash helmet and driving an unregistered vehicle with a provisional licence.
Coming into the festive period road policing colleagues will be carrying out more patrols to influence driver behaviour and detect offences to keep the roads safe. If you are going to be driving, please ensure your vehicle is roadworthy with all relevant tests and documentation is up to date.
