Around 7pm on May 19, a 43-year-old man was arrested and released for report to the procurator fiscal for vandalism, assault, assaulting a police officer and acting in a threatening and abusive manner near to the Pier, Esplanade.

Road Safety

In the past weeks local police have detected a number of road traffic offences in Dunoon, and the surrounding areas. Officers have detected incidents of, no MOT, no insurance and careless driving.

To continue ensuring road safety, Road Policing units will be increasing their presence in the area with targeted patrols. These efforts aim to promote responsible driving habits and identify potential hazards. If you plan to get behind the wheel, please make sure your vehicle is roadworthy, with all necessary tests and documentation up to date.

BUTE

Around 4.30pm on May 22, a 35-year-old man was arrested and released for report to the procurator fiscal for acting in a threatening and abusive manner near to Bridge Street.

Around 5.50pm on May 23, a 32-year-old man was reported to the procurator fiscal for breach of the peace and failing to leave a licenced premises near to Gallowgate.

Around 6.20pm on May 25, a 31-year-old man was arrested and held custody for court for a number of offences following a disturbance near to Guildford Square.

Around 4.02pm on May 25, a 35-year-old man was issued with a fixed penalty notice for acting in a threatening and abusive manner near to Watergate, about 10.15pm on the same date, the same male was arrested and later released for report to the procurator fiscal for acting in a threatening and abusive manner near to West Princes Street.
