Cowal Community Orchestra moving and growing

COWAL Community Orchestra will have a meet, greet and register for potential children from noon till 1pm on Sunday, September 7 at Dunoon Grammar School, and lessons will commence on Sunday, September 14 at noon, at DGS. The tuition will be free, with loan instruments available.

Musical Director Alison McAloon will be offering violin, cello and harp for children age eight and upwards, and Lynda Harrison will be offering recorder for ages six and up, leading to flute and clarinet when the orchestra have

some funds to purchase instruments. Any donations of instruments would be gratefully received.

Any young people and adults wishing to join Cowal Community Orchestra can also come along to rehearsals – currently Sunday 3-5pm at St Mun’s Church Hall Kirn for the main orchestra but moving to Dunoon Grammar School drama studio from September 7, from 1pm-3pm for the main orchestra.

Concerts will remain at St.Mun`s Church Hall. The orchestra is already planning for a concert near to Christmas.
