Cowal Dance and Fitness athletes shine at Scottish Championships

NINE TALENTED athletes from Cowal Dance and Fitness returned home triumphant after a fantastic weekend at the Scottish Baton Twirling Championships, held at the Oriam in Edinburgh on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th May. Coaches Mandy Tommie and Emma Peden expressed their pride in every athlete’s performance. “We’re thrilled with how everyone performed,” said Mandy. “For some of the team, this was their final championship before heading to university, and for others, it’s just the beginning of their competitive journey.”

Looking ahead, two Cowal athletes – Sophie Peden and Elise Morris – have been selected to represent Scotland at the European Championships in Spain in July. Both have

been training extensively in Edinburgh alongside other athletes from across the country. They extended heartfelt thanks to the Cowal community and local businesses for their generous support in helping fund this incredible opportunity.

We wish Sophie and Elise the very best of luck as they prepare to represent Scotland on the European stage.
