Cowal's mystery 'crochet Banksy' pipes up

DUNOON’S ‘crochet Banksy’ has struck again and just in time for this year’s Cowal Highland Gathering.

Around Christmas time last year, pillar boxes across the town were decorated with creative festive toppers and they quickly became the focus of much attention.

The identity of the person who created them has remained one of Dunoon’s best kept secrets and now the thread rebel has struck again.

This time, the creative topper is for this year’s Cowal Highland Gathering and sits on the pillar box on Hillfoot Street. It features a monochrome John McLellan look-a-like with some cards which feature the infamous pipers legendary bagpipe marches, including; Men of Argyll and Pats Hat.

Will this be the last time the unidentified yarn bomber strikes, or are they currently working on more toppers for this Christmas?
