Daytime drainage improvement works at A83 Argyll Hotel, Bellochantuy
 
  • Drainage works are planned for two days starting Thursday 22 January
  • Temporary traffic lights with convoy between 8am and 5pm
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland will be carrying out essential drainage works on the A83 at the Argyll Hotel in Bellochantuy.
Drainage works are scheduled for Thursday 22 January and Friday 23 January, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
Due to the nature of the works, temporary traffic lights with a convoy system will be in place during working hours to protect roadworkers and road users. Outwith working hours, the convoy system will be removed however the temporary traffic lights will remain in place overnight.
Access through the worksite for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s Northwest Unit Representative said; “These essential drainage works will help reduce instances of flooding on the A83 trunk road and provide a safer route for motorists using the carriageway.”
“Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank the local community and road users for their patience in advance while we complete these works. We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information.”
