Dunoon Girlguiding Extravaganza raises funds for growing units

MEMBERS of Girlguiding Dunoon came together for a fun-filled fundraiser aimed at supporting the future of local groups and creating new opportunities for young people.

The Extravaganza event was held at the Guide Hall on Saturday, bringing Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers together alongside family, friends and members of the community.

The fundraiser featured a packed programme of activities, including face painting, temporary tattoos, badge making, a bottle tombola, home baking stalls and refreshments including tea, coffee, hot dogs and soup.

There were also outdoor activities in the garden, giving the girls the chance to enjoy a day of fun while helping raise much-needed funds for their units.

Organisers said they were delighted to see girls from across all sections of Girlguiding Dunoon supporting the event as the organisation continues to grow.

The morning ended with a raffle featuring prizes generously donated by local businesses.

A spokesperson for Girlguiding Dunoon “There are too many to thanked everyone who mention, but you know who supported the event, saying: you are and we are very grateful.”

Funds raised will help the organisation continue to offer activities, experiences and opportunities for girls across the area.
