Andrew Charles Richardson, (32), from Glasgow was imprisoned for 30 months at Dunoon Sheriff Court last week. On June 22, 2022 on board the Calmac ferry travelling between Dunoon and Gourock he assaulted an individual and struck him on the body with a knife, or similar implement, to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement. Richardson committed this offence whilst on bail.

Kenneth MacIver, (39), from Strachur was given a community payback order for 12 months, a non-harassment order for five years and ordered to carry out 225 hours of unpaid work, as a direct alternative to custody. On September 5, 2025 at a property in Dunoon he behaved in a threatening and abusive manner and acted in an aggressive manner towards an individual by shouting, swearing and repeatedly uttering threats of violence.

Michael Ray Holland, (42), from Dunoon was fined 400 and had his drivers licence endorsed with six penalty points. On July 31, 2025, on a road, namely the Bullwood Road, Holland drove a car without due care and attention in that he fell asleep whilst driving, failed to maintain control of the vehicle and mounted the pavement and then collided with a parked car, street furniture and a wall.
