DUNOON YOUTH Football League’s 2014s signed off for the winter break in superb fashion on Saturday, producing one of their strongest performances of the season in Dumbarton against Clydebank.
Following a flat display the previous week, the young Dunoon side responded with commitment, composure and impressive teamwork. From kick-off, they pressed Clydebank high up the pitch, allowing their opponents little time to settle across the full 60 minutes.
Their hard work paid off with four excellent goals from Luke, Austin, Harris and Campbell, each finishing off flowing moves that showcased the squad’s improved passing, movement and use of width. At the back,
a composed defensive line led confidently by Carson ensured Dunoon remained in control throughout.
Coaches Alan, Alex and Liam praised the team for their attitude, intensity and togetherness, delighted to see them end the year on such a positive note.
The focus now shifts to maintaining momentum over the winter through training, practice sessions and friendly matches — with the 2014s looking well placed to build on their progress in 2026.
