Golf club holds race night

THE GREAT relationship between North Bute Primary School and Port Bannatyne Golf Club continued last Friday as the club hosted a Race Night in aid of the school.

Organised by the school committee and ran with help of local bookmaker Mark Green, the school raised £1,000 towards funds for the kids.

A spokesperson for the event said: “Huge thanks to the golf club, the school committee, Mark and of course Roddie and Hazel for the food and drink.

“Numerous local businesses also donated prizes for the raffle which helps towards the total.”

Among those involved was Beauty by Tania, Aldo’s, JK Vintage, Island Essence, WES, Bonnie Bling, Bute Tools, Callow’s, Diane’s, Smokehouse, Bute Coffee, Dressing Room, Just Menswear, Glen’s, DC Murrays, Co-op, Validuis Coach, Janine’s, Jessmay’s, Ruth Slater and the club itself.

PBGC wished to extend its heartfelt thanks to those who chipped in to make the night a reality.
