DUNOON ARGYLL Pipe Band and Dunoon Grammar School Pipe Band travelled over to Gourock Games in Battery Park on Sunday for the first competition of the season.
Dunoon Argyll’s drum corps came first, and the bandsecondoverallinGrade 4b.
A band spokesperson said: “It is good to see the hard work put in over the winter paying off. Also a prize for the two new drummers who joined us over the winter, in their first outing with the band.”
Dunoon Grammar School Pipe Band were also competing at Gourock Games, gaining a very respectable fifth place in their grade. Pipe Major Donald MacPhee led the band.
