Innellan Bowling and Tennis Club hosts successful quiz night

INNELLAN Bowling and Tennis Club was delighted to welcome a full clubhouse for its Quiz Night on Monday, August 3.

It was particularly good for members to see Archie Tait back in the clubhouse for a visit. Unfortunately, the ‘Archie’s Pairs’ competition, which had been scheduled for August 2, had to be cancelled due to low entries.

The quiz proved a success, judging by the reactions from those taking part. Organisers admitted there was always a challenge in compiling the questions and getting the balance right – not making it too easy, but not making it too difficult either.

The winning team was ‘The Auld Codgers & Carrie’, made up of Dave Singleton, Carrie O’Brien, Jim Law and Archie Tait, who finished with an impressive 116 points.

Second place went to ‘Count Quizface’, comprising Ailsa and Brian Close, and Helen and Neil Munroe, who scored 104 points.

The club thanked everyone who attended and those who generously brought along raffle prizes. Special thanks were also given to Sam for her help in organising the evening.

A further thank you was extended to everyone who came along to support the club, particularly the non-members who helped make the night such a success.
