Golfers at Rothesay Golf Club gathered last week to compete in the J & J Zan Kreyser 4499 Taxis Inter-Pub Trophy.
This year’s winners were the team from the Golfers Bar.
The team of Stuart Robertson, Jack Reynolds, Donnie McDermid, Andy McGregor, Andy Donald and Ryan Craig were successful on a day of two halves–with the early starters had a break from the eventual downpours.
In second place came the team of Rothesay Golf Club 2–Derek Smith, Mike Dodds, Hughie and Craig Charker, Jimmy Reid and Michael Murty.
The individual winner was Andy McGregor
of the Golfers Bar team with 40 points, pipping his team mate Donnie McDermid and Kohn McBride of Rothesay Golf Club 3 who both scored 39.
Scratch winner on the day was Iain Simpson of the Grapes Bar with a 69.
Nearest the pin winners were, John Murray, Donnie McDermid, Jimmy Ewing, Sam Jamieson and Stephen Reynolds.
The club wished to thank the Zan Kreyser family for their sponsorship and for presenting the prizes.
