LAST Thursday saw the third of the Kyles series races at Toward Seasports Club.
The wind was from the north east on this occasion, with a force ten knots, as two optimists and the Neo Wee Magritt took to the water with six keel boats.
The dinghies were first over the start, closely followed by Saorsa and Parallel Motion, with two Hunter19s next along before Katana and Wild Goose.
The keel boats soon passed the Oppies who struggled to find the wind direction, but the Neo kept up at the front.
Toots stayed in the middle of the fleet while Shady Lady and Katana passed each other several times, before Shady Lady took off away from Katana. She managed a cunning tack round the S mark on the second-last leg of the race to get past Toots and stayed ahead through to the finish. Saorsa crossed the line first followed by Parallel Motion.
