Letter to the Editor - Community effort saves bench

Editor – A fixed bench on Alexandra Parade, Dunoon was in dire need of refurbishment. Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park were approached by Dunoon Community Council (DCC) to provide a modest budget for the refurbishment but denied all responsibility. DCC voted over the budget

and the staff and pupils of Dunoon Grammar School Technical Department took on the job, it was completed in the last few weeks, the School did all the work and bore the cost. Thank you to Jack Wilson, staff and pupils for a job well done.
