MANAGEMENT at a restaurant and spa on Loch Lomondside are seeking permission for alterations to the alcohol licence for the premises.
Argyll and Bute’s licensing board is being asked to grant an application to add a mobile unit at The Carrick, which acts as a ‘halfway house’ on the golf course, selling refreshments to players, to the Club House premises licence.
A bid is also set to be put forward by Cameron House Resort (Loch Lomond) Ltd to allow receptions and outdoor drinking outwith core hours, as well as adding films and gaming during and outwith the core hours.
The current licenced hours at the premises are 10am to 1am for on sales, and 10am to 10pm for off sales, seven days a week.
The application for the variations to the licence will be heard by the licensing board at its meeting on Tuesday, April 21.
In a report, a licensing standards officer said: “[This is] an application to formalise the use of a stationary and attended mobile unit acting as a halfway house on the golf course, selling refreshments including, but not limited to, alcohol for consumption off the premises.
“The applicant has taken this opportunity to make other changes. This service has been available to date using a golf buggy to deliver the alcohol using an occasional licence. [There have been] no issues arising from this use.”
The report adds that an additional layout plan has been submitted depicting the location of the mobile unit and a drawing of the unit has been supplied in addition.
