Man arrested and charged in connection with Argyllshire island fraud offences

A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with fraud offences.

These took place in Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh and Islay between 2021 and 2024.

He is due to appear in court at a later date, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Sergeant David Williamson, from the Divisional Cyber Enabled Crime Team, said: “We encourage members of the public to be mindful of activity which appears fraudulent and to report this to police.

“Officers will continue to work to bring those responsible for this kind of criminality to justice and anyone with concerns should call us on 101.”
