New head of hospitals and community care for Argyll and Bute

ARGYLL and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) has appointed Caroline Robertson as its new head of hospitals and community care.

Ms Robertson, who started on 8 September 2025, joins from veterans mental health charity Combat Stress, where she was head of operations for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

A registered social worker and trained mental health officer, she has held senior operational and strategic roles across HSCPs in Scotland, including work on integrated service planning and delivery.

“With great enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility, I am delighted to be appointed”, Ms Robertson said.

“This role is a chance to work alongside dedicated professionals and local communities to make sure the right care and support are accessible at the right time and in the right place, ensuring accessibility and equity for residents across Argyll and Bute.”

HSCP Chief Officer Evan Beswick welcomed the appointment: “Caroline brings a wide range of experience from the public and third sectors and will be a great asset to our team.”
