One man has died following a fire at a flat in Lochgilphead.
Around 7.45am on Sunday, December 14, emergency services were called to Lochnell Street in Lochgilphead after a report of a property on fire.
Emergency services attended and one man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin were made aware and two men were taken to hospital for treatment.
Streets surrounding the property were closed to motorists and pedestrians, including Lochnell Street, Union Street and Campbell Street.
Detective Inspector Peter MacMillan said: “Our thought are with the family and friends of the man that has died in this fire.
“Our investigations into the cause are ongoing but it does not appear to be wilful.”
