Editor – Could something not be done by Argyll and Bute Council’s road department to investigate the amount of surface water on and around the top of Argyll Street, at the traffic lights?
Water is somehow not getting into the drainage channel outside the Observer Shop, so if you are standing on the pavement you are in danger of being soaked by passing traffic throwing up the surface water which has collected.
Surely water has to be directed to the appropriate drainage channel.
