Around 2.54am on March 22, a 35-year-old man was arrested for a number of road traffic offences as well as theft and culpable and reckless behaviour near to Glenbranter he was thereafter released on undertaking to appear at court.

Around 11.10pm on March 22, a 27-year-old man was arrested and released on undertaking to appear at court for acting in a threatening and abusive manner and resist arrest near to the Royal Marine hotel.

Around 7pm hours on March 23, a 30-year-old woman was arrested and released on undertaking to appear at court for assault near to Finbracken, Sandbank.

Around 8.55pm on March 20, a 47-year-old man was arrested and released for report to the procurator fiscal for driving a motor vehicle whilst under the influence of drugs, having no valid insurance policy and possession of a class C drug near to Sandbank High Road.

Police are appealing for information following a report of damage to a vessel in Rothesay.

The incident is believed to have taken place between 9pm on Wednesday, January 29 and 9pm on Thursday, January 30, while the Queensberry boat was docked at the West Pier.

It has been reported that a diesel filter on the vessel was damaged during this time.

Road Safety

A number of traffic offences were identified in Dunoon and the surrounding area over the past week, speeding being the most notable offences on the A83 near Glen Kinglass.

Around 1.39pm on March 20, a 61-year-old woman was reported the procurator fiscal for wasting police time near to Hillhouse Road.

Around 10.40pm on March 20, a 42-year-old man was issued with an recorded police warning for being in possession of cannabis near to Columshill Street.

Police are appealing for information regarding an incident of threatening and abusive behaviour that took place around 5.30pm on Sunday, March 8 within the carpark at Finbraken in Sandbank. Please contact PC Stirling L353 or 101 quoting incident number 2689 with any information.
