LOCAL police in Cowal and Bute detected four traffic offences across the region in recent days, including careless driving, speeding, failure to wear a seatbelt and failing to stop after an accident.
With the festive period approaching, officers will be increasing patrols across the area to encourage safer driving and to detect offences before they result in serious harm. Motorists are being reminded to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy and that all relevant documentation, including MOT, insurance and tax, is up to date.
Police say the aim is simple: to influence driver behaviour, reduce risk on local roads and help everyone travel safely during what is traditionally a busier time of year.
